The Stairs

This is the base of the staircase. There are three stairs to the first landing. Usually a huge full lenth mirror from the 12thc. gothic style, its made different than modern mirrors. The stair case is hand carved in dark wood with square colums, that are decorated with rectangular and quare design. There is a type of ginger bread pattern on the bottom edgeing the entire staircase.

This picture takes you further up the stairs from the first landing to the second. An coat/hat/umbrella stand is here. Beneath the stairs in the alcove is a love seat. The stairs lead to the second floor and stop between the upstairs parlor and the hall.
